Technical due diligence

Are you considering buying or investing in a wind turbine or a wind turbine portfolio? A thorough technical review prior to the transaction is essential to avoid unpleasant surprises after the takeover. I offer technical due diligence, where the condition, documentation and service history of the turbines are reviewed systematically.

You receive a clear and honest picture of what you are investing in—including an assessment of the remaining lifetime of critical components, outstanding maintenance tasks, and any hidden risks. The result is a written report that provides a solid foundation for negotiation and decision-making.

Condition assessment

Knowing the current technical condition of your wind turbines is a prerequisite for good and responsible operation. A condition assessment from me combines physical inspection with a review of service logs, operational data and technical documentation.

On this basis, an overall assessment is provided of the turbines' condition, remaining service life and maintenance needs – prioritised and placed in a practical and economic context. A condition assessment is particularly relevant ahead of major investment decisions, in connection with a change of ownership, or as a regular part of a long-term operational strategy.

Supplier assessment and contract review

A service agreement on a wind turbine is a significant and long-term commitment. The terms vary considerably from supplier to supplier, and it can be difficult to see through what you actually get – and what you do not get.

With many years of experience from both the operator and supplier side, I have an in-depth knowledge of what a good service agreement should contain, and where the typical pitfalls are hidden. I can help evaluate and compare offers, review contract terms and ensure that you as an owner are properly protected if something goes wrong.
